BIOGRAPHY
With a Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in Women’s Studies from Southern Connecticut State University, and Doctorate of Education from New England College, New Hampshire, I have been working in higher education for 20 years. In 2019, I relocated to CT and served as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Quinnipiac University. In this role, I addressed and managed student concerns which come to the attention of the Dean of Students' Office or the CARE Team. I supported students with medical, mental health, socialization, academic and/or behavioral needs that may impact a student’s ability to function successfully at the University, ensuring they receive appropriate and timely interventions and are monitored effectively.
I currently serve as the Senior Equity & Inclusion Investigations Officer and Title IX Coordinator for Central CT State University. In this role, I serve the Office for Equity & Inclusion and am responsible for managing complaints, investigations, and reporting on sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual assault, and discrimination cases. I also ensure that the University’s hiring practices do not discriminate based on any protected classification and applies affirmative action principles in making hiring decisions.
I hope you will take a minute to learn more about some of the creative programming that I have been a part of such as the PSA It’s On Us as seen here which won the 2016 Program of the Year from NASPA Region 1 and a Student Emmy. Additionally, in 2017 I received the New Hampshire Mid-Level Professional of the Year Award from NASPA and the 2018 Outstanding Woman of New Hampshire Award for the Monadnock Region, which was acknowledged from Keene State College, Senator Shaheen, and Congresswoman Kuster. I have also posted a video of my acceptance speech from that award so you can get to know me a bit more!
ABOUT ME
In addition, for having a passion for helping faculty, staff, and students, I am also a wife and mother of two children and pup. In my free time, I am most known for my love of puzzles, being in nature and mentoring other professionals. I was honored to receive the Regional Recognition Continuous Service Award for NASPA Region this past November (2022). Being a part of higher education has brought me great joy.
